Why Hobbies Reduce Stress, Spark Passion And Creativity Into Your Life

Research shows hobbies reduce stress, encouraging a more balanced state of mind, body and emotions.

Hobbies also help encourage greater creativity and bring passion back into your life. So why are they so under valued ?

In modern day life adults and children are so conditioned by busyness and addicted to modern technology. We have forgot how to switch off and relax. We seem to have lost how to  simply be, simply play. So many us don’t even seem to know how to begin to engage in more healthier activities and states of being that our soul was born to do.

Think back to your childhood what did you naturally love to do?

Maybe  it was just getting out in the fresh air, to be active or wild swinging from the trees or maybe you always sought new adventures. Perhaps you loved designing your next creation; making a den, a dolls dress. painting or drawing a beautiful picture?

Maybe it was learning, reading, listening to playing or making music. Remember how enjoyable and relaxing these activities were and could be.

And over the next few days think about how you could bring that natural passion back into your life.

It doesn’t matter if you believe you aren’t very good at a hobby or not. It doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks or believes. It is about doing what you naturally love to do. It is about following your heart, what sparks a bit of passion, inspiration, joy or even hope. Let’s take Einstein he was viewed as being mentally under developed, Thomas Edison was classed as too stupid to learn anything and Walt Disney was once told that he wasn’t creative enough.

  1. This is awesome. I think I would go insane if I didn’t have my hobbies. I have a couple active ones and a couple lazy ones, and I love the balance. I would lose my mind otherwise. Great advice!

  2. Yes, we naturally need to be in nature. I have things I love to do like making candles and soaps. So I suppose they are somewhat or hobby but not an integral part of my business too 🙂
