Stress Management is a term used rather loosely and widely today by many therapists, coaches and practitioners who provide a form of therapy or treatment where the client totally relies on the practitioner. They don’t teach the client the stress relieving skills.
A Stress Management Trainer, Relaxation Therapist and/or Stress Coach will teach the client or student how to reduce or manage their own stress. Professional Stress Advisor’s or Stress Coach’s use a wide range of modalities, strategies, and forms of therapy to help support and treat clients. This includes addressing the cause of the stress. This is done not just through one aspect of mind, meditation, relaxation or stress management but through a combination approach. One form of stress therapy rarely fits all, managing stress involves helping the client address the issues not just treating the symptoms.
